From Official Invitation to “Visit India”

The journey to “India Unveiled: Culture, Heritage & Beyond” began with an official invitation from the Embassy of India, Riyadh , inviting us to participate in a special “Visit India” tourism promotion gathering.

The official invitation carried the theme “Connecting Global Partners to India's Experiences,” highlighting the importance of strengthening tourism ties between India and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and bringing together global partners and stakeholders from the tourism and hospitality sectors.

The accompanying “Visit India” announcement invited distinguished partners and stakeholders to discover India's diverse tourism, culture and heritage, and to explore new opportunities connecting the Kingdom with the Indian subcontinent.

Both the official invitation and the tourism promotion announcement confirmed the gathering for 15 January 2026 at Voco Hotel, Riyadh , from 5:00 PM onwards .

Carrying the official identities of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and the Embassy of India, Riyadh , these official communications set the stage for an evening dedicated to India's tourism potential, cultural heritage, international partnerships and the continuing friendship between India and Saudi Arabia.

For Capt. Mir Shakeel UrRahman and Capt. Amal Ahmed , the invitation marked the beginning of another memorable chapter in their continuing journey of India–Saudi cultural engagement, tourism promotion and people-to-people friendship.

A Memorable Evening of Tourism, Culture and Friendship

On 15 January 2026 , Capt. Mir Shakeel UrRahman and Capt. Amal Ahmed participated in “India Unveiled: Culture, Heritage & Beyond” , a tourism promotion evening held in Riyadh.

The occasion brought together representatives of diplomacy, tourism, the travel industry, media, business and distinguished guests to celebrate India's remarkable tourism potential and cultural diversity.

The evening provided the couple with meaningful opportunities to interact with Embassy officials, tourism representatives, diplomats, media professionals, business leaders and distinguished guests.

Among the memorable moments was the presentation of the Indian Saudi Couple Travellers commemorative lapel badge to H.E. Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia , as a symbol of friendship and cultural goodwill between India and Saudi Arabia.

The evening became another meaningful chapter in our continuing journey of promoting tourism, cultural diplomacy, people-to-people connections and the enduring friendship between the Republic of India and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Throughout the evening, Capt. Mir Shakeel UrRahman and Capt. Amal Ahmed had the opportunity to meet and interact with several distinguished representatives connected with the Embassy of India and the tourism promotion programme.

We also shared the evening with our dear friend Capt. Faisal Bin Ahmed , whose participation was kindly facilitated by the Embassy.
