Giving Through Brotherhood — Voluntary Blood Donation
A humanitarian contribution made during the H.O.G. Jeddah Chapter’s 2nd Bike Show & Garage Sale on 10 December 2016.
A Gift That Can Help Save Lives
Community service takes many forms. Sometimes it means giving time, offering practical assistance or standing beside people who need support. At other times, it means making a personal contribution that may help patients in need.
On Saturday, 10 December 2016, Capt. Mir Shakeel UrRahman participated in a voluntary blood donation initiative held alongside the H.O.G. Jeddah Chapter’s 2nd Bike Show & Garage Sale in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The event brought together members of the motorcycle community. Beyond the main programme, the blood donation initiative provided an opportunity for participants to contribute to a humanitarian cause.
Capt. Shakeel voluntarily donated blood alongside several fellow participants. His contribution was recognised through an official Blood Donation Certificate presented in appreciation of his participation.
Photographic Record
The original collage preserves photographs of the blood donation, medical staff assisting donors and the presentation of the Blood Donation Certificate.
Contributing to a Humanitarian Cause
The photographs show Capt. Shakeel donating blood with medical personnel in attendance. Other participants are also visible taking part in the donation initiative.
The images preserve a personal moment of participation in a community activity that extended beyond the usual interests of the motorcycle gathering.
The significance of this contribution lies in the act of giving: volunteering to donate blood as part of an initiative intended to support patients in need.
Official Recognition of the Donation
The Blood Donation Certificate records that Mr. Shakeel Ur Rahman donated blood voluntarily at the 2nd Bike Show & Garage Sale on Saturday, 10 December 2016.
The certificate bears the H.O.G. Jeddah Chapter branding and thanks the donor for contributing towards the good cause. It names Capt. Sarry Shaaban as Director of the Jeddah Chapter, Jameel Ayas as the H.D. Jeddah Dealer, and Fuhaid Ahmed as Event Organiser and Assistant Director.
Preserving this certificate alongside the photographs provides documentary evidence of the contribution and its connection to the event.
Brotherhood Beyond the Ride
Motorcycle communities often bring people together through shared journeys, events and friendships. This occasion also demonstrated how a gathering can provide an opportunity for a meaningful contribution to the wider community.
For Capt. Shakeel, the blood donation formed a distinct humanitarian part of the day. It reflected the principle that community participation can extend beyond attendance and fellowship to acts of service for people who may need help.
The true value of brotherhood is measured not by the miles ridden together, but by the willingness to stand beside others when they need us most.
This record preserves that contribution as part of Capt. Mir Shakeel UrRahman’s documented community-service history and the wider archive of Indian Saudi Couple Travellers.
