Bringing Smiles to Orphaned Children During Eid Al-Fitr
An Eid celebration at the Jeddah Literary & Cultural Club, sharing laughter, entertainment and joyful moments with children from local orphanages.
Celebrating Eid with Love, Laughter and Hope
Eid is a time of joy, gratitude and togetherness. During the Eid Al-Fitr celebrations in July 2016, Capt. Mir Shakeel UrRahman accepted an invitation from Ehsan Bikers Team to participate in a volunteer initiative organised for children from local orphanages at the Jeddah Literary & Cultural Club in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Representing himself as Indian Solo Biker, Capt. Shakeel arrived on his Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic and joined fellow volunteers with a shared purpose: to help the children enjoy the happiness, excitement and warmth associated with Eid.
The gathering centred on entertainment, games, photographs, laughter and personal interaction. It offered an opportunity for members of the motorcycle community to contribute their time and enthusiasm to an occasion dedicated to the children.
The photographs preserve the venue and several moments from the celebration, including the participating bikers and the children's interaction with the costumed characters.

A Gathering at the Jeddah Literary & Cultural Club
The venue sign visible in the photograph identifies the Jeddah Literary & Cultural Club. This visual evidence supports the location recorded for the event.
The accompanying collage preserves the setting, participating volunteers and moments shared with the children. Together, the images form part of the historical photographic record of this community service initiative.
Becoming Winnie the Pooh
For the occasion, Capt. Mir Shakeel UrRahman dressed as Winnie the Pooh, joining the celebration as a familiar children's character. The role created opportunities to greet the children, pose for photographs and share moments of laughter.
Capt. Hussain Saad joined the fun as Papa Smurf. Capt. Sameer kindly arranged the character costumes, helping make the gathering more memorable for the children.
The photographs preserve the characters alongside the children and members of the participating team, documenting the light-hearted spirit of the occasion.
More Than a Motorcycle Community
Although the participants shared a passion for motorcycling, this gathering reflected another dimension of that community: giving time and attention to others through volunteer service.
Capt. Shakeel's participation as Indian Solo Biker and the involvement of Ehsan Bikers Team helped bring the motorcycle community into an Eid programme focused on children.
The occasion demonstrated how a shared interest can extend beyond the road and become an opportunity for companionship, community participation and positive social engagement.

A Personal Reflection
“Awards and achievements become treasured memories, but nothing compares to the smile of a child. Becoming Winnie the Pooh for a day was never about wearing a costume — it was about giving every child another reason to smile. Those joyful moments remain among the most precious memories of my journey.”
— Capt. Mir Shakeel UrRahman
